Biography:
DJ Wild Bill began his DJ career more
than 10 years ago with a weekly DJ gig at a nearby
bowling alley, an event that lasted through most
of his high school years. As the popular music
world constantly changed around him, DJ Wild Bill
gravitated toward the hotmixers at Boston radio
stations Kiss 108 and WZOU, now known as Jam’n
94.5. By the time he graduated high school, Bill
had taught himself to mix records on a couple
of old turntables, using his now massive collection
of the most popular dance and rap singles of the
time.
While in college, Wild
Bill perfected his mixing and programming skills
and became actively involved in the campus radio
station WWLR, hosting a specialty dance and
hiphop show that eventually became the region’s
most popular Saturday night show – 92
Flava FM. During summers, WB took the show on
the road, working clubs such as Ecstasy in Salisbury
Beach and Haverhill's Club Oasis (now known
as Club 125).
After earning two degrees
and having successfully run a college radio
station, Wild Bill founded Wild Productions
and now promoted his new venture regularly at
Déjà Vu (formerly The Electric
Wave) on Hampton Beach. He also made guest appearances
at Extreme (now Millennium) in Burlington, VT,
and was later introduced to the Atlas Bar &
Grill inside Jillian’s Boston.
Eventually, Bill was
asked to step into a regular Saturday night
DJ role at Atlas, replacing the popular Mario
Leon. From 1999 until just recently, DJ Wild
Bill was spinning and rocking the Lansdowne
Street club every Saturday night supplemented
by frequent weekly guest appearances.
Bill has continued to
build on his DJing and remix production repertoire,
making appearances at numerous venues in and
around Boston including Pravda, Roxy, Felt and
Vanilia's. He has produced mix CDs for many
local DJs and is collaborating with UK remixer
Sandeep Chatterjee on a few projects including
several remixes released on the world-renown
DMC remix label.
DJ Wild Bill is currently
one of two producers and mixers for “Club
Kiss” on Boston mainstay Kiss 108. The
mixshow airs every Saturday night, featuring
Boston’s hottest beats mixed by some of
Boston’s most talented DJs and reaching
a potential 1 Million regional listeners. He
can also be heard spinning dance hits worldwide
on the legendary ClubFMRadio.com every Wednesday
at 2PM Pacific.
